Financial Well-being in the Delta: A Conversation on Banking, Credit and Small Business

ree

Join us on the morning of August 8th on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University to explore challenges, collaborations, and innovations around banking, credit access and small-business development in the Mississippi Delta. You'll hear from St. Louis Fed community development researchers and from leaders across Mississippi who are driving approaches to improve the financial well-being of their communities. This solution-centered program will also feature a conversation on the economy with Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President Alberto Musalem. The segment with President Musalem is particularly important, and we’d love to have you there for that discussion, providing a valuable opportunity for introductions and dialogue as part of his first visit to the Delta. Our speakers for the morning also include:

·         Cassandra Williams, President, Hope Credit Union

·         David Johnson, Senior Vice President and Director of Community Development, BankPlus Lexington

·         Val Taylor, Founder and Owner, The Bread & Butter Shoppe

·         Scott Waller, President and CEO, Mississippi Economic Council

All are welcome so feel free to share the registration with others in your network, especially those involved in credit counseling, credit access, or banking. You can register here!
